Vanitra

Bursting into the world of music comes a young southern beauty that can do it all. An incredible singer, songwriter, and dancer describe just a few of Vanitra’s many talents. As a consecutive winner on a local radio station contest in Montgomery, Alabama called The Battle of the Beats on 97.9 Jamz, Vanitra was received so well that the radio station decided to add the song to daily rotation. The buzz that Vanitra created for herself, led Kevin “Khao” Cates into her life, which at the time was the head of the production team for Grand Hustle. He was so impressed with Vanitra’s rare musical abilities that he approached her about several singing and songwriting opportunities. These include songwriting with Intaprize Production Inc. (Khaos label) which gave Vanitra an opportunity to collaborate with Lyndrea (sister of Venus and Serena Williams), Big Kuntry from P$C, and Ashley who is the newest addition to the Romeo show on Nickelodeon.

Vanitra has also been featured on BET.com as Ya Heard's Picture and Artist of the Week and will be featured on numerous upcoming mixtapes in and around the southeast region

While searching for additional production for her own project Vanitra also came across Producer / Songwriter Cedric Wright aka Tigga Bounce, who is a fellow Montgomery, Alabama native who has produced records for Paul Wall & Trick Daddy. They had such a amazing chemistry in the studio that the two decided to record several songs for her album from which the hit song “I’m Shinin ft. Yung Hersh” was derived. She is currently songwriting and marketing her songs to major industry artists as well as putting the finishing touches on her own solo project.

Vanitra is a strong young lady who does not except failure. It doesn’t take a “rocket scientist” to figure that she will be the next big superstar. She has gone through struggles, ups and downs, but through it all she continues to keep God first. She has waited for her time to shine and her time is slowly but surely approaching. Vanitra believes that no task is too hard, and that she will be an example for all the artists who had it hard breaking into the forever changing and complex music industry. She continues to be motivated by artists such as Kanye West and numerous others who had to struggle to get the success that was rightfully theirs. There are four things that she says she will never give up on; love, life, happiness, and music. Make way for Lady-V
